Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the desktop app.
  2. Send a message.
  3. Enter edit message mode.
  4. Move cursor to an empty line.
  5. Paste text from clipboard.

Outcome

What did you expect?

The cursor should stay after/to the right of the text that got pasted, in the same input field.

What happened instead?

Focus for some reason changes to the bottom new message input field. You have to manually click in the place where the cursor should have been after pasting the text before confirming the edit with Enter or continue editing.

This was happening for a long time and on another OS, so this should be a general bug, or at least Linux one.

I've tested the web version, and it has a different weird behavior, but at least the focus stays in the same input field, so technically a different bug, but the root cause might be the same.
